Redesigning my personal website and portfolio.
Web traffic data showed that my portfolio was not effective. Using heuristic evaluation, I discovered and prioritized design flaws. Finally, I performed a complete content redesign.
Improved average session duration by 153%.
Reduced bounce rate by 7.75%.

Case study - An app that helps smokers quit.
Planned and executed a research study with secondary research, interviews, and a competitor analysis. This served as basis to design a prototype application that was tested with usability tests.

Affective Traces of Community and Communism Through the Memories of Romanian Migrants
Master of Arts major research paper - 2023 and 2024
After carefully planning a 3-month long field study in Northern Italy, I executed an ethnographic project to understand how cultural memory and affect both influence the decision-making processes of Romanian migrants. This study resulted in a 60-pages manuscript.
Enhancing Resilience of Women and Girls and NGOs Amidst COVID-19 in West Africa
Podcast series - September 2021
Being awarded the Dean's Award for Research Excellence, I conducted a brief project involving remote interviews with members of NGOs in West Africa. The recordings were edited and published as a podcast series.
Gustavus Vassa's Polar Expedition
Video project - April 2021
This video summarizes the 1773 Phipps expedition to the North Pole as narrated by Gustavus Vassa (Olaudah Equiano). This POV is the first of its kind as Vassa was an ex-slave from Nigeria who bought his own freedom and became a writer and pioneer abolitionist. The project was awarded frirst place at the 2021 University of New Brunswick's Arts Matters conference.
Issues of Nationality within Online Spaces: Online Live Streaming Platforms
Ethnoraphic report - 2020 and 2021
An ethnographic report on several weeks of research in an online community. This digital research generated an insightful commentary on how conceptualizations of nationality and nationalism can propagate through online live streaming platforms through normalizing discourses and practices. The report was accepted for publication by the Contingent Horizons journal.
