About me:
My name is Lorenzo and I am two things:
A researcher
I am an anthropologist and a qualitative researcher with field experience in both digital and physical environments.
A designer
I am a self-taught UI and UX designer
that is passionate about user centered
solutions.
I was born in a small town in Northern Italy, but my provincial life changed when I moved to Toronto in 2019. I began my big city life and started to dip my toes in all sorts of challenges and opportunities.
After five years and counting, I now have a bachelor's and a master's in social anthropology. I worked as a qualitative researcher, knowledge mobilization expert, trainer for artificial intelligence and did all sorts of side gigs from copyediting to graphic design.
Three years ago, after a long internship, I grew passionate about user experience design, but it was only recently that I decided to make my move. I got a certificate in UX from Google and I keep expanding my skills, looking out for new opportunities.
Currently, I am on the lookout for professional developments. In the meantime I keep my brain working with courses in computer science and UI/UX Design challenges.
My hobbies and passions include drawing and painting, especially in acrylics, and all sorts of outdoor activities. I am also an avid reader of classic literature, check out my Goodreads!
